What do you like in particular about our school?

Year 3:-

All staff are very nice/approachable/friendly/helpful/professional
School is safe
Helping children to progress further with extended tasks in lessons
Lots of extra-curricular activities
Welcoming feel to the school
Excellent transition arrangements, children settled very quickly and are very happy
Each class has their own PALL and the children get the support they need
The way the children are encouraged to achieve and succeed (motivated by competitions, stickers, reward points, tea with HT)
Rewards for attendance and learning
My child gives lots of positive feedback, including how incidents are resolved by staff
Independence is encouraged with responsibilities for belongings.

Year 4:-

Great support for my child and for me
Happy and friendly atmosphere
Very approachable staff
Lots of opportunities outside the classroom (like clubs and school discos)

Year 5:-

Extremely pleased with how my child is treated in the school

All children and teachers helped my child settle in when joined Brookfield in Yr4
Encouragement given to my child to learn and improve
Yr6 were very well prepared for SATs ~ very happy with results
Staff always friendly and welcoming

Bullying is dealt with immediately with a ‘no-nonsense’ approach
Text updates are a great reminder and very useful

Plenty of outdoor space and Family Room is a very useful space

Have you observed any additional improvements over the last year?

Super Heroes ~ special celebrations with Mrs Blewer.
Booster books to help Yr6 children study for their SATs.
Level of homework has improved and this is reflected in my child’s grades.
Gifted and Talented outings are valuable and memorable experiences for the pupils who want to aim high.
Special help has been given to my child, his problems were picked up early and now he is improving.
School grounds have been maintained to a better standard.
Pupils all look happy and smiling.
‘Around the World’ reading was a good idea to encourage learning.
My child has improved and is really enjoying school time.
The school site is tidier and security is higher.
Newly decorated classrooms are looking lovely and offer a better environment for the children.
More collaboration and links with other schools, especially secondary schools.

What do you like in particular about our school?

Time and effort are clearly put into making sure events are special and memorable for both the pupils and their families e.g. productions, family days, sports day, summer fayre etc.
My child is happy at school and loves going in every day, and is eager to learn.
The school encourages children that come into school with a positive attitude.
My child is always happy to go to school.
The staff are friendly. They always listen to my concerns.
Communication and information sent home to parents.
Good selection of after school clubs.
Air-conditioning in the ICT Suite.
I like the overall feel of the school; you’re welcomed in with a friendly feel by all staff members and it’s comfortable.
My child was really below in her maths and now she has caught up. She is doing really well and I am pleased that I moved schools.
The teachers are friendly and will welcome you with any problem a parent may have and deal with it quickly.
I like the special days the school puts on for the children to encourage their writing and story-telling; great idea to really boost their imagination.
The school nurtures children’s strengths and interests so that their confidence grows.
The school rewards hard work and good behaviour in many ways to encourage children and make them feel proud of themselves.
Mathletics and Bug Club are enjoyed by the family at home too.
The school is very welcoming and everyone is polite.
The staff work together as a team.
There is a vast range of activities and clubs to encourage children to enjoy and keep fit.
Amazing leadership and initiatives.
Teachers listen and care.
Special days to bring mums, dads and grandparents to school.
Level of support given by all staff.
Very convenient for a working parent to drop off my child at 8.30am.
I’m happy with all aspects, particularly with how difficult situations regarding my child are dealt with.
